    Job Description


    GENERAL SUMMARY



    The Special Education Teacher assumes the lead role in developing, planning, integrating, coordinating, evaluating and delivering group and individualized curriculum, in accordance with agency, state and federal special education rules and regulations, to children who receive services in a therapeutic treatment setting and who suffer from a variety of educational disabilities.  The Special Education Teacher is responsible for imparting their expertise to collaborate efforts with other professionals toward fulfilling the agency mission and to assuring excellence in the agency’s education program services, with the hope of eventually reintegrating the child into the public school setting.



    MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: 



    The above knowledge, skills and abilities are acquired through graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education.  Must possess and maintain a valid Montana driver’s license.



    Position is full-time, salary commensurate with experience. $1000.00 Sign on Bonus.  Intermountain offers excellent benefits, including health insurance, pension, generous personal leave, and holidays.
