Economic Update luncheon will focus
on effects of Montana's aging workforce
The aging and retirement of Montana's "baby boomer" workforce will undoubtedly have a significant impact on our state's business community in coming years. While millennials are joining the workforce in growing numbers, are Montana businesses prepared to lose tenured workers and institutional knowledge? What impact will the "Silver Tsunami" have on our economy, and how can employers prepare?
Those questions and more will be the focus of this year's Economic Update luncheon on Aug. 1, sponsored by the Montana Chamber Foundation. Patrick Barkley, director of the state's Bureau of Business and Economic research, will be the featured speaker for the luncheon, and will focus on national, state and local economic trends ... in addition to the challenges which face local businesses as our workforce ages.

Start: 10 am at the Danny On Trailhead in the Upper Village (near Hellroaring Saloon)
Getting down the mountain: Participants will receive a pass to ride the chair lift down the mountain. Dogs may not ride the lift.
Event Description:
* Run or hike 3.8 miles with 2,434 ft. elevation gain to the summit of Big Mountain
* Compete for the title of King and Queen, Prince and Princess of the Mountain - handmade plates for 1st place finishers.
* Dogs are invited to race (with their humans); prizes for fastest Dog . Dogs must be on a leash.

Group B Galleries is a collective of more than 20 local and internationally renowned photographers, displaying perspectives from stunning locations around the world and showcasing the spectacular beauty of Glacier National Park. We also feature locally handcrafted jewelry and pottery, as well as the occasional poetry reading and free how-to photo workshop.
