| Jun 2 Artist Reception: Ken Yarus - Tokens of Glacier at Frame of Reference |
Join us for an evening celebrating the launch of Ken Yarus' “Tokens of Glacier” exhibit. We are presenting five of Ken's iconic Glacier scenes, available for purchase, which will be the basis for his upcoming Glacier National Park Postcard Series. The show features ten paintings, and includes the five small studies which Ken created as the basis for the final large pieces. Both Ken and FoR Fine Are are donating a portion of the proceeds from this collection to the Conservancy. The Glacier National Park post card series will be featured in the Glacier Conservancy stores in 2022.

| Jun 3 Gallery Nights Opening Reception: Jeanne Tallman |
| Please join us at Stumptown Art Studio for an opening reception for local artist Jeanne Tallman. Her current show is titled: "The Journey Of My Life Through The Magic Of Watercolor" Artist Bio: My children wouldn’t play Pictionary with me because I couldn’t draw anything recognizable except a stick figure. That hurt, so I set out to prove them wrong, and to prove that with practice and perseverance I could learn to draw and to paint, and to experience the excitement of creating a story with paper, watercolors and a brush. Karen Leigh taught me to see a myriad of colors in a tree trunk. She is my constant critic and consummate teacher. Ted Nuttall showed me the difference between a beautiful face and an interesting face, which one I should paint, and how to bring a portrait to life. Kath Macauley demonstrated the art of quick-draw and the fun of filling a sketch book with paintings. Bev Wozniak stressed the importance of the contrast between light and dark, and pleaded, “keep it loose” and “the background is part of the story.” Genie Kell challenged me to “paint big, bold and wild.” And so I did. Now Stumptown Art Studio is showing my work to the public and to prove to my children what can happen when the right teacher comes along and the student is waiting. **** Gallery Nights is the first Thursday of each month during the summer from 6-9pm. Each month a new schedule of artists will be showcased in the many downtown galleries of Whitefish. Come enjoy a night out, mingle, and meet the artists. Light snacks and beverages served. We encourage you to Be Kind to the environment and bring your own reusable wine/beverage cup for the night. FREE to attend! |

We've partnered with Hank's Hatchets for some axe throwing fun followed by delicious craft beer!
The tour includes an hour of hatchet throwing; a visit to 2 breweries and/or tap house in the Flathead Valley; a behind-the-scenes look at a craft brewing facility and (the best part!) 4 samples of liquid gold at each brewery.
You will enjoy various beer styles, learn about the different breweries and enjoy the social dynamic of the group. Tour is approximately 4 hours depending on group size and how much fun we are having!

We are proud to introduce the third annual Summer ArtFest at Whitefish, June 24th - June 27th 2021!
The weekend will be bustling with activity - artist demonstrations, live auction, open downtown galleries, food and drink, panel discussions, and a silent auction throughout the weekend. Encompassing the entire town, this is the inaugural event to transform Whitefish into the next fine art destination of the West.
Perfectly poised already, the downtown area houses fifteen galleries, numerous artists reside within the city limits, and not to mention the drastic influx of visitors this area sees! We are looking forward to working with the community in order to engage everyone and reel in all corners of the art world to one picturesque location.
Whether its just you, your gaggle of friends or the whole family, the weekend will be filled with live demonstrations from artists, engaging discussions, cocktail hours, and animated auctions. Come for the art, or come for the inspiration and good food. Either way, we look forward to seeing you the last weekend in June! Our Mission
The mission of Summer ArtFest at Whitefish is to create a space for artists of all backgrounds to gather and share their love for the arts through their unique chosen expression. Community engagement is paramount to the festival, and its eventual week-long format is meant to encompass all art forms, all throughout downtown Whitefish and beyond. Working together, the Summer ArtFest at Whitefish will be a monumental influence in the shaping of Whitefish as a Fine Art Destination.
