Amazing Place Music Presents 2021 "THE VOICE" Finalist Wendy Moten!
Amazing Place Music is proud to bring vocal phenom Wendy Moten to the Flathead Valley in concert on June 11, 2022 at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center (Atkinson Hall) at 8:00 PM.
Wendy is an exceptional, adaptable singer, a pure musical spirit, and a bridge from Memphis to Nashville to the rest of the world. Respected in the music industry as a consummate professional for years, the wider public discovered her talent and charm through her remarkable run on NBC’s THE VOICE in 2021. She turned all four judges’ chairs on her blind audition and ended up finalist overall.
A native of Memphis, Moten sang R&B on a major label in the 90s then moved to Nashville to become an in-demand harmony singer. She spent 15 years as the key support voice for Julio Iglesias.
Wendy has toured with Martina McBride, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, and Vince Gill. She’s performed as a soloist on the Grand Ole Opry multiple times and has been a featured artist in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Musician Spotlight series. In 2019 she joined the Grammy-winning Nashville western swing band The Time Jumpers.

Inspired with building a community in mind, this show plans to expand into a week-long annual event encompassing all art forms and spread throughout the downtown Whitefish area with the main events held at the O'Shaughnessy Cultural Arts Center in the heart of Whitefish, Montana. Summer ArtFest gives art lovers a unique opportunity to meet and talk to their favorite artists throughout roundtable interviews, cocktail events, and a much anticipated Quick-Finish at the end of the weekend. Attendees and supporters inevitably connect and bond over a shared love of fine art while supporting local, regional and national artists.
Summer ArtFest at Whitefish aims to place our small mountain town on the map as a premiere art destination. Community is the key word to help us achieve this. To help keep our local community strong and supported, 10% of all sales will be contributed towards the Summer Artfest at Whitefish Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is administered by the Whitefish Community Foundation to Flathead Valley graduates that are seeking careers as professional artists. SAF has raised over $10,000 in the last three years for this fund.
ArtFest wouldn't be possible without our dedicated staff and supporters. A group of art enthusiasts, gallery owners and business partners have come together to manifest their common goal of creating a space in the Whitefish Community for art of all veins. Gleaning from numerous areas of expertise, this core team is moving forward with expanded plans for coming years of the festival. |

| The City of Whitefish is hosting ranger led walks on Wednesdays throughout the summer at Whitefish City Beach. The first week will focus on Fighting an Ongoing Threat: Aquatic Invasive Species and will take place June 22nd. Join our ranger to learn about aquatic invasive species biology, watercraft inspections, and decontaminations. The group will visit the inspection and decontamination stations located near the beach.
