When a struggling, emotionally dysregulated child is unable to maintain in the family, school, and community, a nurturing, family-like atmosphere can be the best setting for stabilization and treatment. Providence Home provides professional, integrated, intermediate residential care adapted for the individual needs of each child. The focus is first stabilizing the child and family and then providing a holistic, attainable pathway to improved functioning.

Counselor I provides a variety of professional direct care services to children at an entry level with supervision, guidelines, direction, support and training from the treatment team. Counselor I participates in the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu according to each child’s treatment plan and agency philosophy. Requires related work experience and a valid MT drivers’ license.
The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through two (2) years related work experience. Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a Social Science or closely-related field is preferred. Requires a valid Montana driver’s license.
Salary DOE, Starting Wage: $13.57 per hour plus $70.00 per pay period for Interim Adjustment Pay. Full-time with Benefits.. Hours are mainly weekends and evenings. An additional shift differential is offered at $1.00/hour for evening and weekend hours. Examples of benefits offered include health insurance, retirement plan, and a rich personal leave benefit.
