SUMMARY:1st Shift: Exploring Entry-level Healthcare Careers
DESCRIPTION:Western Montana Area Health Education Center (WMT-AHEC) at the University of Montana\, in collaboration with Flathead Valley Community College\, and several Kalispell agencies and healthcare facilities\, will host 1st Shift\, a one-day pilot entry-level healthcare career exposure program for Flathead County non-traditional students\, displaced workers\, veterans and students in gap years. First Shift will feature an entry-level healthcare employee panel and healthcare employer roundtables. Special attention will be given to job shadows\, apprenticeships\, available training\, current job openings\, and educational financial assistance. Online registration is open until October 26 at\, http://www.wmtahec.org/\, or interested individuals may pick up an application at Kalispell Job Service. Childcare and lunch will be provided.
