SUMMARY:FVCC Theatre Presents "Wonder of the World"
DESCRIPTION:"FVCC Theatre will perform David Lindsay-Abaire's racy comedy "Wonder of the World" March 1\, 2\, 3\, 8\, 9 and 10. The play's heroine\, Cass\, discovers a shocking secret in her husband's sweater drawer that sends her fleeing to the honeymoon capital of the world in a frantic search for the life she thinks she missed out on. It's a wild ride over Niagara Falls as Cass embarks on a journey of self-discovery that has her crossing paths with a suicidal alcoholic\, a lonely tour-boat captain and a pair of bickering private detectives\, all of whom almost push her over the edge. "The story is filled with the oddest menagerie of characters facing the most bizarre situations imaginable\," said FVCC Theatre Arts professor Joe Legate. "David Lindsay-Abaire is a master storyteller with a knack for side-splitting comedy." All performances begin at 7 p.m. in the campus theatre inside the Arts and Technology building. Tickets are $10 for general admission\, $5 for seniors and free for all students. Tickets are available at the FVCC Bookstore\, online at www.fvcc.edu/theatre and at the box office. "Wonder of the World" is strongly recommended for mature audiences only."
