DESCRIPTION:"In celebration of spring and the return of baseball season\, Flathead Valley Community College's Library invites the community to a book reading by historian\, author and baseball aficionado Rob Bauer.  "The Boys of Summer Are Back: A Celebration of Baseball History" is scheduled for Thursday\, April 12 at 7 p.m. in the FVCC Library\, located in the Learning Resource Center. Bauer\, a history professor at FVCC\, recently published two books about baseball history: "Outside the Lines of Gilded Age Baseball: Gambling\, Umpires & Racism in 1880s Baseball" and "Outside the Lines of Gilded Age Baseball: Alcohol\, Fitness\, and Cheating in 1880s Baseball." In addition to reading passages\, he will discuss the research and writing of the two books. The evening will also include refreshments and a baseball history trivia game with prizes awarded to top players. The event is free and appropriate for baseball lovers of all ages."
