DESCRIPTION:It is with very heavy hearts that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Whitefish Skijoring event.\n\n\n\nPlease know this decision was not made lightly. Our board\, partners\, and volunteers worked tirelessly to try to make this event happen despite an unprecedented warm winter.\n\n\n\nOver the past several weeks\, we pursued every viable option available to us\, including:\n\n\n\n Partnering with the Flathead County Fairgrounds for a last-minute venue change\n\n Preparing to haul in over 100 truckloads of snow from Blacktail Mountain\n\n Planning for approximately 4\,000 yards of manufactured snow to be produced on site\n\n\n\nUnfortunately\, continued warm temperatures have completely prevented snowmaking operations.
