DESCRIPTION:The critical shortage of housing that is affordable to Whitefish workers is the #1 issue facing our business community today.  You're invited to join the Chamber\, the City of Whitefish\, Glacier Restaurant Group and Explore Whitefish on April 13 for an update on our community's workforce housing efforts\, including:\n\n	What's happened to-date\n	What's in the works now\n	What still needs to be done\, and\n	How are we going to pay for it?\n\n \n\nThis year's Whitefish Workforce Housing Summit will include:\n\n\n	Progress reports from Housing Whitefish and the city's Strategic Housing Plan Implementation Committee\n	An analysis of what it'll cost to meet our city's current workforce housing needs\n	A discussion of possible revenue streams to help pay the bill\n	A panel discussion featuring local employers who are actively investing in housing for their workforce\n	A presentation on "employer-assisted housing"   options for helping your staff find   and afford   a place to live in Whitefish\n	A presentation on "Housing Co-ops"   an opportunity for two (or more) businesses to partner in the development\, management and ownership of affordable workforce housing.\n\n \n\nEvent schedule:\n\n\n	8:30 a.m.   Check-in and buffet breakfast\n	9-11 a.m.   Housing Summit\, presentations and panel discussions
