Join us at 4pm, Thursday April 26th on Main Street in Whitefish to cheer on our local Special Olympic MT Athletes and Whitefish Police Officers as they carry the Flame of Hope through Downtown. Afterwards, join us for a FREE community BBQ at the O'Shaughnessy Center. Officers with the Law Enforcement Torch Run carry the Flame of Hope™ across Montana, raising funds and public awareness for Special Olympics Montana. The relay begins late April and will have 13 starting points around the state with hundreds carrying the Flame of Hope™ over 2,200 miles to the State Summer Games Opening Ceremonies in Great Falls in May. The arrival of the torch and lighting of the cauldron will officially begin the Games.
