Christmas Stroll ~ Downtown Whitefish 2026

Christmas Stroll 2026 is set for Friday, December 11th. The Christmas Stroll has been a long-standing community tradition in Whitefish, Montana. Holiday music, photos with Santa, caroling, tree lighting ceremony, & street artisans and food vendors.

2026 will be similar to:

5pm Stroll Begins
5pm....Alpine Bell Ringers Hand bell Choir Concert followed by Harp Music ~ First Presbyterian Church
5pm...The North Valley Music School Christmas Recital
6pm... Dance Performance by Whitefish & Bigfork Dance (South of 3rd on Central)
6pm... The Flathead Valley Community College Vocal Jazz Ensemble ~ Outside O'Shaughnessy Center / Depot Park followed by...

6:15pm..... Tree Lighting Ceremony with the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce and our sponsor, Stockman Bank ~ Outside O’Shaughnessy Center/Depot Park followed by...

6:30pm....Santa Arrives via Bar W Guest Ranch Wagon ~ Outside O’Shaughnessy Center/Depot Park and is Santa led down Central To Huck's Place by the Buddy the Elf for Selfies with Santa with The Whitefish Community School.
6:40...Santa's arrival followed by Elevated Aerial Studio - Fire Performance following Santa's arrival at Depot Park
7pm...The Glacier Symphony Brass Quintet plays holiday music in front of the Stockman Bank arch at Central Ave near 4th Street
7pm... The Vocal FVCC Ensemble ~ On First at 101 Central Avenue
7:30pm The Second Story Band at 101 Central spreads cheer - 4th Annual Winter Wonderland
7:45pm... The Vocal FVCC Ensemble ~ Out West Trading Co. between 2nd & 3rd on Central
8:20...Elevated Aerial Studio - Fire Performance ~ Between 2nd and 3rd Street on Central
8 - 8:30pm... Whitefish Chamber of Commerce Shoppers' Drawing Winners Announced

Throughout the Evening...

• Wagon rides by Bar W Guest Ranch

• Warm up at fire pits at various locations on Central Ave

• Create your own ornament at Stumptown Art Studio

• Commemorate the occasion with a photo courtesy of Glacier Medical Associates outside The Bulldog Saloon

• Vendors selling great crafts and delicious food

• Entertainment and photos with Buddy the Elf at Blackstar
• Pumpkin Bowling with Two Sparrows Chiropractic & prizes from Pin n’ Cue (Between 2nd and 3rd)
• Birdland Jazz Combo playing a holiday set at FORLOH

• Dance Elements performances outside Sappari

• Explore the SnowBike Nation “Bat Cave”

• S'more roasting with Compass Chiropractic

Date: Friday, December 11, 2026
Time: 5:00–9:00 pm
Set-Up: 12:00–5:00 pm (all vehicles must be moved by 4:30 pm)
Wrap-Up: 9:00–10:00 pm
Registration Timeline
Applications were open exclusively to Whitefish Chamber members until Thursday, October 22nd.
Registration are now available to the general public. So, be sure and secure your spot today. Applications will be accepted until the event is full, or until Friday, November 20th at 3:00 pm.

The Christmas Stroll is one of Whitefish’s most beloved holiday traditions, and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors, vendors, community members, and volunteers. If you have friends or family who would like to join in the fun by volunteering, please feel free to share my email—many hands make light work!

For those of you that are giving a performance only and do not desire a booth space (example - dance troop without a specific location or Buddy the Elf inside Blackstar), please complete this performance only registration so that we have your information for logistics and advertising purposes.
