Holiday Lights Stroll on the Whitefish Trail

Whitefish Legacy Partners is bringing the holiday magic to the Whitefish Trail!

Starting December 13 and ending on December 19, the Lion Mountain Family Loop (a quarter-mile walking loop accessed right from the trailhead) will be illuminated each evening from 5pm-6:30pm.

VOTING: Three groups (Whitefish Animal Hospital, Hidden Moose Lodge, and Spring Recruits) decorate a section of the trail with Holiday lights and compete for your vote! Be sure to scan the QR code at the trailhead to vote for your favorite section!

PRIZES: Nelson's Ace Hardware has donated two prizes for this event--a $50 Ace gift card will be awarded to the group with the most votes, and an engraved Yeti cup will be awarded to one random voter just for participating!

DONATIONS: 'Tis the season for giving! There is a donation box at the trailhead as well as a QR code. Be sure to give back to Whitefish Legacy Partners after your stroll.

ACCESSIBILITY: We are happy to chat--please reach out with any questions about accessibility! Lion Mountain Trailhead has accessible parking spots and bathroom set on a gravel surface. The Lion Mountain Family Loop is a single-track, dirt trail that starts at the trailhead and is ~.3 miles long with minimal rocks and roots. This trail can be accessed by walking, using an off road mobility device, and wagons/strollers. Depending on conditions, spikes or winter traction devices may be necessary.
