About the Job
Full-time staff work 4-5 days a week. This position requires weekend availability, with daily working hours being 8-4:30. Experience in a restaurant and/or barista is preferred but not required. Base hourly pay is $12-14/hr depending on experience, plus tips. Tips are pooled and split evenly and average $8-$10/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks using various brewing methods and equipment, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
  • Create delectable crepes and other food items following established recipes and food safety standards.
  • Operate Toast POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment.
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operations.
  • Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Requirements

  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques to ensure compliance.
