Schedule: Full-time, year-round position with seasonal fluctuations in workload and opportunities for flexible scheduling during quieter periods. Flexible start date with a preferred start around August 1, 2026.
About the Role
Wild North Guides is seeking a motivated, organized, and service-oriented team member to support both field operations and office administration while helping deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout Northwest Montana.
This position is primarily a tour guiding role and includes a mix of guest communication, operations coordination, and office administration responsibilities. The ideal candidate enjoys a diversity of tasks, working independently, solving problems, and most importantly, sharing Glacier National Park and Northwest Montana with visitors.
During the peak summer season, responsibilities will primarily include leading sightseeing tours, e-bike tours, and hiking trips. Winter responsibilities will include guiding snowshoe tours and supporting winter operations.
When not guiding, responsibilities may include communicating with guests, assisting with reservations, answering phones and emails, supporting trip preparation, maintaining equipment and vehicles, organizing inventory, and contributing to the overall success of day-to-day operations.
This role is intended to become a long-term, year-round position with opportunities for growth as Wild North Guides continues to grow.
Requirements

Clean driving record

Comfortable operating larger passenger vehicles

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field

Comfortable speaking to groups and presenting information to guests

Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 80 lbs

Passion for Montana, Glacier National Park, and outdoor recreation!
Preferred Qualifications

Previous tour guiding, hospitality, customer service, or leadership experience

CPR and Wilderness First Aid certification (Wilderness First Responder preferred)

Familiarity with Glacier National Park and Northwest Montana

Experience driving larger vehicles or passenger vans

Experience with reservations, customer communication, or administrative work

Experience working in tourism, outdoor recreation, or small business environments
