About Us

Surrounded by Lush gardens, our 1910 National Landmark Hotel The first of the iconic lodges built by the Great Northern Railroad, the Belton Chalet has served as the original gateway to Glacier National Park for over a century. When it opened its doors in the summer of 1910, the Belton Chalet was viewed as the pinnacle of modern hospitality in the west and welcomed visitors by train from across the country. Known today for its elegant dining experience and culinary prowess, the chalet’s restaurant and tap house offer a gambit of artfully-crafted dishes showcasing locally-sourced ingredients.

Today, we take pride in offering the same unforgettable guest experience as we did the day we first opened our doors. Here at The Belton Chalet, the way it was is the way it truly still is.
