About Us
Our mission is to build food security and to strengthen communities. We envision a world with well-nourished, connected communities. We value dignity, equity, community, wellbeing and innovation.
We fulfill our mission through our choice model grocery store, mobile pantry program and rural pantry delivery program.
North Valley Food Bank is committed to serving all members of our community who may experience food insecurity. We believe that everyone deserves the food they need.
We do not require any documentation to get food from NVFB. There is no judgment around how much customers need or should take. We believe that food is not, and should never be, a privilege.
We ensure that community members have access to healthy and diverse food. We do this through our many local food acquisition programs like our harvesting and gleaning program and wild game processing program. As well as partnering with local farmers to purchase Montana produce.
In order to provide food to over 1000 individuals weekly, we have 80 volunteers come in each week fulfilling different tasks to make sure our neighbor’s have the food they need.
Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9am-3pm. Our grocery store is open Wednesdays from 12-6pm and Thursdays from 10am-1pm and 3pm-5pm.
